At the Baikonur Cosmodrome the staff of the RSC “Energia” (part of the Roscosmos State Corporation) and the specialized enterprises of Roscosmos continue to work with the “Soyuz MS-14” spacecraft.

Today, on August 5, 2019, in the Assembly and Testing building of site № 254, the verification of the solar batteries of the spacecraft was completed.

A set of works to test solar batteries includes the opening of the jig, where the spacecraft is installed, the removal of protective panels from the solar batteries and their disclosure, after which special lighting devices “illuminate” the solar batteries.

At the end of the tests, the solar batteries were folded and closed again with protective panels.

The launch of the “Soyuz-2.1a” launch vehicle with the “Soyuz MS-14” spacecraft is scheduled for August 22, 2019 from launch pad № 31 of the Baikonur Cosmodrome.
