At NPO “Energomash” (part of Roscosmos State Corporation), the commission successfully accepted the next batch of RD-180 liquid rocket engines, manufactured at the enterprise.

Representatives of the companies Pratt & Whitney, United Launch Alliance, and AMROSS signed log books for three engines.

For two weeks, representatives of the above companies, as well as representatives of the US Air Force and NASA conducted an external inspection of engines, spare parts kit (spare parts, tools and accessories), and an inspection of the accompanying documentation.

This acceptance is the second in 2019, now the engines are preparing for shipment.

The RD-180 liquid rocket engine is designed and manufactured by NPO “Energomash”.

Engines designed for use as part of the American Atlas 5 launch vehicles.
