Russian cosmonauts will fly to the Moon in 2029, RSC Energia Head Vladimir Solntsev said.

Manned flight to the Moon with further landing is planned for the year 2029, – Solntsev said on Tuesday at the conference dedicated to space technologies held in Moscow.

Solntsev also pointed out that Moon flights onboard new spacecrafts especially designed to fly to the Moon will start in 2021. The docking of such spacecraft with the ISS is planned for 2023. In 2025 the spacecraft will be sent to the Moon for testing without cosmonauts onboard.
