Work continues on the evacuation of fragments of the “Soyuz-2.1b” launch vehicle, which successfully launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome on February 7, 2020.

The removal of a found stages is carried out from the fall area, located in the Sverdlovsk region and Yugra.

To date, a second-stage oxidizer tank with a transitional farm and an instrument compartment with a total mass of about 2 tons has been removed.

In addition, fragments of the head fairing and the tail section of the third stage were found and evacuated in this area of the fall.

Similar work was completed on February 12, 2020 in another fall area, located on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

All four side blocks of the “Soyuz-2.1b” launch vehicle were found within the boundaries of the fall area and transported for further disposal.
