Russia has begun to develop the first moon landing mission scheme

Russia has begun to develop a scheme for the first mission of landing cosmonauts on the lunar surface in its history, said in an interview with RIA Novosti Igor Khamits, a chief designer for the development of a new spacecraft “Oryol, designed to fly to the moon.

“It is planned to use a bundle of the ship “Oryol” and the lunar module in orbit of the artificial lunar satellite for landing of a human being on the lunar surface. The systems research on both the development of such a module and the mission as a whole is currently being conducted,” Khamits said.
