At the Baikonur cosmodrome, the preparation for the launch of the "Proton-M" launch vehicle with the upper stage "DM-03" and the Russian observatory "Spectrum-RG" continues. In accordance with the established schedule of works, in the Assembly and Testing building of the 92A-50 site, specialists of Roscosmos enterprises completed the assembly of the head part of the "Proton-M" space rocket. The launch of the "Proton-M" launch vehicle with the "DM-03" upper stage and the Russian astrophysical observatory "Spectrum-RG" is scheduled for June 21, 2019 at 15:17 (Moscow time) from the site № 81 of the Baikonur cosmodrome.

The "Proton-M" carrier rocket with the "Breeze-M" upper stage, launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome on May 30 at 20:42 (Moscow time), successfully delivered the "Yamal-601" telecommunication satellite into the target orbit in the interests of the Russian satellite operator Gazprom Space systems. The "Yamal-601" will replace the "Yamal-202" satellite in orbit and will provide fixed-line communications and data transmission services in the C-band in a large part of Russia, as well as in the CIS, Europe, and the Middle East and Southeast Asia. In the Assembly and Testing building of the launch vehicles of the Technical Complex joint team of the representatives of the enterprises of the rocket and space industry started works on removing the thermopackage from the units, external inspection and transfer of the launch vehicle units to the workplace. The "Soyuz-2.1b" launch vehicle will launch the "Meteor-M" № 2-2 spacecraft into orbit. This will be the fifth launch from the newest Russian cosmodrome. The first launch from the Vostochny cosmodrome took place on April 28, 2016.
