On November 15 at 10 am (Moscow time) in the GCTC a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission began, which summarized the readiness for space flight of the main and backup crews of the ISS-58/59. The main and backup crews of the "Soyuz MS-11" spacecraft reported on their readiness to carry out the flight program, thanked the GCTC specialists and other organizations for their good preparation. According to the commission, the crews of the 58/59 long-term expedition to the International Space Station are ready to perform a space flight on the "Soyuz MS-11" spacecraft and the Russian ISS segment and recommended to begin preparations at the Baikonur cosmodrome .

The main and backup crews of the 58 / 59th long expedition to the ISS approached the most crucial stage of preparation at the GCTC - the examination complex trainings. At first the backup crew of the ISS-58/59 (Roskosmos cosmonaut Alexander Skvortsov, ESA astronaut Luca Parmitano and NASA astronaut Andrew Morgan) began the tests on a simulator of the "Soyuz" manned spacecraft. Then, on the Russian segment of the International Space Station, complex trainings began with the main crew of the ISS-58/59 (Roskosmos cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko, ESA astronaut David St. Jacques and NASA astronaut Anne McClain). When the main crew started trainings, Russian and foreign journalists had the opportunity to talk with the head of GCTC Pavel Vlasov. The examination complex trainings results of both ISS-58/59 crews will be announced tonight.

On October 17,2018 at the Gagarin Cosmonauts Training Center held a press conference with the participation of the executive director of manned space programs of Roscosmos, Hero of the Soviet Union, Hero of Russia, pilot-cosmonaut Sergei Krikalev and Hero of Russia, pilot-cosmonaut Alexei Ovchinin. During the press conference, the journalists heard directly from the participant of the event, Aleksey Ovchinin, what was happening in the spaceship at the time of the accident, and what were the actions of the crew during the emergency situation, that led to the ballistic descent of the spacecraft in 20 km from the city of Dzheskazgan (Kazakhstan).

The Tu-134 aircraft with Russian cosmonaut Alexei Ovchinin and American astronaut Nick Hague landed at the Chkalovsky airfield in Moscow region. The health conditions of the Russian cosmonaut and the American astronaut are fine.

Today, on October 10, 2018, a traditional press conference of the “Soyuz MS-10” spacecraft crews was held at the Testing and Training Complex of the GCTC at Baikonur. Earlier, the State Commission approved the crews of the ship. In accordance with the flight program of the International Space Station, on October 11, 2018, at 11:40 Moscow time, the “Soyuz MS-10” spacecraft is scheduled to launch from the site No. 1 (Gagarinsky Start) of the Baikonur Cosmodrome.

On September 27, Baikonur hosted a ceremony of raising the flags of countries, participating in the launch of the "Soyuz MS-10" spacecraft to the International Space Station. The ceremony is a long-standing tradition and symbolizes the official start of the final stage of cosmonauts training for a manned flight. The launch of the "Soyuz-FG" carrier rocket with the "Soyuz MS-10" spacecraft is scheduled for October 11 from site № 1 (Gagarinsky start).

On September 25, 2018, the main and backup crews of the «Soyuz MS-10» spacecraft arrived at the Baikonur cosmodrome for the final stages of flight preparation. The main crew of the ISS-57/58 includes Roskosmos cosmonaut Alexei Ovchinin and NASA astronaut Nick Hague. The launch of «Soyuz MS-10» spacecraft is scheduled for October 11, 2018. The planned duration of the flight is 187 days.

n September 1 7, after the meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission in the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center, a pre-flight press conference of the main and backup crews of ISS-57/58 was held. During the press conference, representatives of the media traditionally congratulated cosmonauts and astronauts with a successful passing of exams. Departure of the ISS-57/58 crew to the Baikonur cosmodrome to continue pre-flight training is scheduled for September 25, 2018.

Before proceeding with the examination of complex training in the GCTC, the crews pass a "test exam" for knowledge of the Russian segment of the International Space Station (ISS), which is called the "Typical flight days". On September 6, Roskosmos cosmonaut Alexei Ovchinin and NASA astronaut Nick Hague worked out training on the simulator of the Russian segment of the International Space Station, and a week later they will have to pass comprehensive examinations at the Cosmonaut Training Center. Most often on these systems non-standard situations are worked out. This time the ISS-57/58 main crew encountered the problem of loss of communication with the Earth as a result of the failure of the VHF sensor, and also prevented a failure in the life support system. At the end of the "typical day", the training team of the GCTC, having analyzed the work of the ISS-57/58 main crew, noted the successful completion of the training program in accordance with the cyclogram.

Today, the GCTC starts training of the UAE representatives as participants in the space flight on the manned spaceship "Soyuz MS" to the Russian segment of the ISS in April 2019. The program of training will end with the examination complex trainings of the crew and prelaunch training at Baikonur cosmodrome. The flight of the first representative of the UAE to the ISS is scheduled for April 2019 and will last about a week.
