NASA astronaut Peggy Whitson, Russian Space Agency Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Novitskyi and the European Space Agency’s Thomas Pesquet are traveling to the International Space Station aboard the Soyuz TMA-20M spacecraft.
Once they arrive at the ISS, the team will join Russian cosmonauts and American astronauts already at the station.
This time, the Soyuz craft will reportedly also bring a spread of 30 dishes, including lobster, veal cheeks and several delectable desserts from renowned French Michelin chefs to the ISS.
According to NASA, around seven tons of supplies are required to sustain an ISS crew of three for around six months. The French chefs’ contributis will be a step up, it would seem, as shrimp cocktail, tortillas and macaroni and cheese are reportedly some crew favorite
