At the Baikonur cosmodrome the crews of the “Soyuz MS-13” spacecraft are preparing for the upcoming launch.

The main crew includes cosmonaut Alexander Skvortsov, astronauts Luca Parmitano and Andrew Morgan.

Their backups are cosmonaut Sergey Ryzhikov, astronauts Thomas Mashburn and Soichi Noguchi.

On July 12, 2019 journalists saw the process of their preparation in the test complex of the GCTC.

Media representatives are given a unique opportunity to talk with cosmonauts and astronauts, ask them questions and ask about their impressions of the “space trip”.

The working day for the crews began with training on a simulator for manual docking of the “Soyuz” spacecraft to the station, after which they proceeded to study on-board documentation.

An integral part of the training of cosmonauts and astronauts are classes in physical training.

In addition, cosmonauts and astronauts today took part in the ceremony of planting trees on the Alley of Cosmonauts – this is a long-term tradition, initiated by the first cosmonaut of the planet, Yuri Gagarin.

The launch of the “Soyuz-FG” launch vehicle with the “Soyuz MS-13” spacecraft is scheduled for July 20, 2019 from the site № 1 of the Baikonur cosmodrome.
