At the Baikonur cosmodrome tests of the radio systems of the “Soyuz MS-15” spacecraft were successfully completed.

They were performed in an anechoic chamber of the Assembly and Testing building of site № 254.

First of all, the specialists of the RSC “Energia” (part of the Roskosmos State Corporation) and specialized enterprises checked the “Kurs-NA” system, which ensures the ship’s approuching and docking with the International Space Station.

An anechoic chamber was created at the Baikonur Cosmodrome during the period of work on the space system “Energia” – “Buran”.

It simulates open space and the radio environment in the conditions of the approach of the ship to the station.

The chamber is designed to check the accuracy characteristics of the “Kurs-NA” system.
