Preparations for the launch of new generation space rocket Angara were intensified, minister of Defense deputy Yuri Borisov reports.

We’ve made a lot to increase the work rate so that it conformed to the schedule, – Borisov said at the meeting with the heads of defense industries trade union organizations.

Earlier it was reported that Angara light booster will be launched in May-June period.
Angara complex is being designed on the basis of standardized series of light, medium and heavy boosters and will be able to orbit almost all payloads in the interests of Russian Ministry of Defense. In the future the weight of this rocket’s payload may be increased to 160 and more tons.
