The 57th long expedition is being completed at the International Space Station (ISS).

The members of the “Soyuz MS-09” international crew cosmonaut Sergey Prokopiev (Roscosmos), astronauts Alexander Gerst (ESA) and Serena Aunon-Chancellor (NASA) are preparing to return to Earth.

At present, in accordance with the flight plan, the return cargo is being stocked in the “Soyuz MS-09” descent vehicle, the crew’s on-board training and checks of the ship’s main systems are carried out.

According to preliminary data from the ballistic and navigation support service of the Mission Control Center, the undocking of the “Soyuz MS-09” spacecraft from the ISS is scheduled for December 4, 2018 at 04:00. 40 min 30 seconds (Moscow time).

The duration of stay in space flight of the crew of the expedition ISS-56/57 will be 197 days (the launch into the specified orbit of the manned spacecraft took place on June 6, 2018).

After the “Soyuz MS-09” will undock from the International Space Station and until the next expedition crew will arrive onboard of the ISS, the crew of Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko, CSA astronaut David St. Jacques and NASA astronaut Anne McClain will continue to work on orbit.

Landing of the descent vehicle of the “Soyuz MS-09” spaceship is expected at 08:03 am (Moscow time) 147 km south-east of the city of Zhezkazgan in Kazakhstan.
