Preparation for the launch of Soyuz-ST-B with O3b space device  are under way at Soyuz launching pad in Guiana space centre (French Guiana).

At the present time Roscosmos specialists carry out works necessary to prepare Soyuz-ST-B booster for electrical and pressure-and-vacuum tests in the integration building of the spaceport  while Fregat upper stage is being filled with propellant components in S3B technical complex.

According to the launch schedule complex tests of launchpad systems before the roll-out and installation of the rocket are planned for June 19.

The main peculiarity of Guiana space Centre launching complex is in the separate transportation of three booster’s stages (horizontally) and space head (vertically) with further assembling at the launchpad using mobile service tower.

Soyuz-ST booster is a modification of Russian 3 stage Soyuz-2 booster with Fregat-MT upper stage and ST (4,11m diameter) nose fairing adapted to be launched from Guiana Space Centre.

The launch of Soyuz-ST-B with O3b space device is scheduled for July 10.
