Two railroad trains with the first heavy booster “Angara-A5” parts arrived today to Plesetsk cosmodrome in the Arkhangelsk region.

The first train with heavy “Angara” parts left the manufacturing plant of Khrunichev center at night of 14th to 15th of July, the second – at night of 16th to 17th of July.

At the moment the specialists of Plesetsk cosmodrome are preparing the technical complex of space rocket system “Angara” to the receiving of new items. After offloading the “Angara-A5” units from the special rail vehicles the preparation to autonomous and then complex tests of the new rocket will take place there.

The first Angara light booster was successfully launched on July 9, 2014 from Plesetsk spaceport,  provided by Aerospace defence operational crews for Ministry of Defence and Roscosmos needs. In 21 minutes the second stage with payload dummy landed at Kura testing area (Kamchatka Peninsula).
