On August 20 the cosmonauts raised flags of the countries taking part in Soyuz TMA-18M spacecraft launch. This traditional ceremony symbolizing final stage of prelaunch preparations took place on #17 pad in front of Cosmonaut hotel.
Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergey Volkov, Oleg Skripochka and Sergey Prokopiev raised the flag of Russia, ESA astronauts Andreas Mogensen and Thomas Pesquet – flag of Danmark and Kazakh cosmonaut Aidyn Aimbetov – the flag of Kazakhstan.
