According to Roscosmos the first launch from Vostochny spaceport is scheduled for April 27, 2016.

The date was approved by State Commission meeting. Soyuz-2.1a booster will orbit Aist-2D space device, Lomonosov scientific satellite of Moscow State University and SamSat-218 nanosatellite.

Roscosmos specialists started preparing all spaceport, booster and space devices systems for the launch. The roll-out is planned for April 23, 2016.

The construction of Vostochy spaceport located in Amur region started in 2012. It will be the first national non-military spaceport providing Russian with independent access to space.

The first launch was planned for December 25 2015, but it was postponed due to the construction schedule delay.
