Progress MS-08 cargo vehicle launched on the second try on February 13 from Baikonur successfully docked with the ISS in automatic mode.
Progress MS-08 delivered to the station about 1390 kilos of various cargoes apart from propellant components, water and pressurized oxygen tanks.
Among the cargoes delivered was scientific equipment including flight units for wildlife species migration monitoring that Russian cosmonauts would install on the outer surface of the station during the next spacewalk life support system components, foodstuffs, clothes and other necessary things for crew members.
Rendezvous and approaching was supervised by Russian cosmonauts Alexander Misurkin and Anton Shkaplerov.
Initially the launch was planned for February 11. The specialists planned to perform the new shortest 2-orbit docking scheme that enables to dock with the station in 3,5 hour after the launch. But since in the day planned the automatics cancelled the launch and conditions necessary for short docking scheme were wasted Progress MS- was sent to the station according to the traditional 2-days one.
