37/38 and 38/39 ISS Crews Trainings in the Johnson Space Center

As GCTC press office reports Russian crew members of 38/ 39 ISS mission Oleg Kotov and Sergey Ryazansky and Roscosmos cosmonaut Mikhail Tyurin who is a member of 38/39 ISS mission have their trainings in the Johnson Space Center (JSC).

Currently Russian cosmonauts Alexander Skvortsov and Oleg Artemyev (39/40 ISS mission) are also being trained in JSC. The training program includes studying ISS American segment, American ISS program and practicing standard operations.

Next week the cosmonauts will meet JSC authorities representatives as well as American ISS program and NASA ISS flight representatives and take part in traditional “cake ceremony” at the closure of their stay in USA.

Oleg Kotov and Sergey Ryazansky will go on their pre-flight trainings in GCTC on July 22, 2013.

Soyuz TMA-10M spacecraft launch with Russian cosmonauts Oleg Kotov and Sergey Ryazansky and American astronaut Michael Hopkins onboard is planned for September 2013.
