JSC “Kuznetsov” specialists finished another stage of firing tests of NK-33 rocket engine, – enterprise’s press-office reports.

“This time the engine was tested alongside with some new produced elements under the conditions of triple operational life. The main goal of the tests was to confirm the engine’s characteristics under the conditions of implemented engineering solution on new-manufactured combustion chamber components – engine manifold and new mechanical-rubber details of engine’s components”.

Heads and specialists of American engine manufacturing company “Aerojet Rocketdyne” also took part in firing tests. Following the results of three development tests total burn time amounted to 616 seconds. The engine operated successfully and confirmed all parameters required, – Interfax reports.
