Proton-M carrier rocket, Briz-M upper stage and the payload fairing developed and manufactured by the Khrunichev Center (a part of Roscosmos) are being prepared for Express AMU3 and Express AMU7 telecommunications spacecraft launch at the Baikonur Cosmodrome.

The preparations are underway in the Site 92A-50 assembly and testing facility.

The Proton-M will launch the Express satellites manufactured by Reshetnev Information Satellite Systems (a part of Roscosmos) at the order of the Russian Satellite Communications Company. The satellites will provide a wide range of communications and digital TV-broadcasting services in Russia and the CIS countries in various frequency bands.

Proton-M rocket and Briz-M upper stage developed and serially produced by the Khrunichev Center. Since 1965, there have been 425 launches of various Proton rocket modifications.

The modernized Proton-M rocket with improved control system, a higher level of performance and environmental performance has been in operation since 2001. Proton-M, equipped with Briz-M upper stage, launches payloads of up to 3.3 tons into geostationary orbit and over 6 tons into transfer orbit.
