Launch vehicle "package" has been assembled at Baikonur cosmodrome for the upcoming manned launch

Specialists of Yuzhny Space Center (a branch of Center for Operation of Space Ground Based Infrastructure (a branch of Roskosmos State Corporation) continue preparing Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle for the launch of manned spacecraft Soyuz MS-22 and crew of the 68th long expedition to the International Space Station.

Mechanical assembly of the “package” of the launch vehicle has been carried out according to the schedule. The “package” includes the first and second rocket stages or five units: one central and four side ones. After the completion of the assembly operations, Roscosmos specialists relocated the “package” to the place of its storage.

Technological activities were carried out in the spacecraft processing facility of the technical complex of “Site #31” (“Vostok”). The next stage of work is to conduct pneumatic tests, followed by autonomous and comprehensive tests, and the final operation will be the total assembly of the space rocket.

The launch of “Soyuz-2.1a” with manned spacecraft “Soyuz MS-22” is scheduled for September 21, 2022, from Baikonur cosmodrome.
