Flight tests of new Angara space rocket complex started at Plesetsk spaceport in Arkhangelsk region, -reported representative of  Russian Ministry of Defenсe press-office management on Aerospace Defenсe troops Alexey Zolotukhin.

The decision to start flight tests was made by State Commission meeting held today, on June 20, at the headquarters of Aerospace Defence troops, – the spokesman stated.

According to him in the course of the meeting State Commission members considered the results of Angara-1.2PP booster preparation for the launch and ground-based facilities’ readiness for the tests and determined the date of booster’s roll-out to the lanchpad of Plesetsk spaceport.

Angara-1.2PP booster will be rolled-out to the Angara launching complex on June 25, 2014. Final decision on the roll-ot will be taken at State Commission meeting scheduled for June 24.

The first test launch of Angara-1.2PP booster will take place on June 27, 2014.
