It is noted that the first launch of the carrier from Vostochny should take place in 2026,
In May, the general designer of the Moscow Institute of Thermal Engineering (MIT) Yuri Solomonov said that the Start-1M could be launched from Vostochny.

In April, TASS quoted a source in the rocket and space industry as saying that Russia’s new Start-1M space rocket will be able to launch up to 500 kilograms of payload into low-Earth orbit.

The rocket is solid-fuelled and four-staged. “Start-1M” belongs to the class of “conversion” missiles created based on military ICBMs (intercontinental ballistic missiles) that have served their time. This LV will be produced based on the Topol-M ICBM developed by the Moscow Institute of Thermal Engineering. The previous version, the “Start-1” LV based on the old Topol ICBM has already performed seven launches in 1993-2006 – five were made from the Svobodny Cosmodrome and two from Plesetsk (one of which was unsuccessful). At that time, a total of six satellites with a mass of 200-300 kilograms were put into orbit, but later the launches were stopped due to the lack of suitable payloads.
