On September 28, at 00:23, Moscow time,  Russian space industry launch crews successfully launched Proton-M booster with Briz-M upper stage and Luch space device from #81 launchpad of Baikonur spaceport.

After nominal separation of the third booster’s stage orbital block consisting of Briz-M upper stage and Luch space device continued the flight , further insertion of the  space device was accomplished with the help of upper stage’s thrusters.

Luch satellite separated from Briz-M upper stage already separated from the upper stage and reached its target orbit, – Roscosmos representative reported.

Luch space device was designed and produced by Reshetnev Information Satellite Systems JSC. According to Roscosmos GLONASS system accuracy may be less than 1 meter in 2014, when  Luch navigation signal  correction system starts operating to the full  extent. After that GLONASS may be compared to GPS system in terms of accuracy.
