At the NPO “Energomash” (part of Roscosmos State Corporation) on December 6, 2019 representatives of the American company “Orbital Sciences Corporation” signed the documents for the next batch of four engines RD-181.

Within three days before the transfer of the engines, representatives of the customer conducted their external inspection, inspection of spare parts, tools and accessories, as well as supporting documentation.

This acceptance of RD-181 is the second in 2019.

In the near future, the engines will be prepared and sent to the customer.

The RD-181 liquid-propellant rocket engine was developed and manufactured by NPO “Energomash” under a contract, concluded in December 2014 with “Orbital Sciences Corporation”.

The engine is manufactured for installation on American “Antares” launch rockets.
