The construction of Vostochny spaceport in Amur region is under way. The specialists work day and night to fill the gap in the schedule, – Vice Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin stated.

“The construction works are under way, we work twenty four hours a day to come up with the schedule we were behind because of different reasons”, – Rogozin said.

At the present time about 6,1 thousand people work at spaceport construction, in summer the quantity of specialists will be increased by 3,5 thousands. Moreover we plan to involve students as well.

“We expect the last builder to leave the spaceport territory by July 2015 so that we could accomplish the 1st Soyuz-2 launch late 2015 as was planned”, – Rogozin concluded. The first manned launch is planned for 2018.

The first launching pad of Vostochny spaceport will be handed for assembling by May 15. Space device’s and booster’s main bodies will be also handed for assembling by that date.
