Russian biosatellite Foton-M with biological materials onboard was launched on July 19, at 00.50, Moscow time from 31 launchpad of Baikonur spaceport and separated from the booster at 00.58, Moscow time. Foton-M is expected to work on the orbit for about 2 months and after that its biocapsule with living organisms will return back to the Earth.

After several orbits the connection of ground control complex with Foton-M was disturbed on command issue channel. The telemetric data about all systems operation came from the space vehicle, processing and analysis was carried out. Construction and onboard complex of “Foton-M” allowed the vehicle to maintain the efficiency and continue working in autonomous mode for a long time.

On 26th of July at 08/05 DMT the connection with space vehicle “Foton-M” was re-established.

According to RSC “Progress” the state of all the systems of “Foton-M” is nominal and it continues performing its flight tasks.
