Cosmonaut candidate Anna Kikina gained test cosmonaut qualification, – Roscosmos reports.

The first in 20 years Russian woman-cosmonaut Elena Serova flew to the ISS on September 26, 2014. At the present time there are no more woman-cosmonauts in Russian cosmonaut corps apart from Serova and Kikina.

Following the results of general space trainings and state exams GCTC Commission took a decision to give cosmonaut candidate Anna Kikina test cosmonaut qualification.

Training with the special group will be the next stage of Anna Kikina’s space career. Following the results of such trainings the cosmonauts are enlisted to the crews.

GCTC Head Yuri Lonchakov stated that Kikina may possible go to space in several years.

“All instructors who have been working with Anna Kikina give highest rating to her level of training, thus I believe she will make a good cosmonaut. I think she will fly in four or five years. We hope for that”, – Lonchakov pointed out.
