Kazakh Astronaut Successfully Passed All Tests for Flight to the ISS

Kazakh astronaut Aidyn Aimbetov successfully passed all exams to fly to the ISS in September 2015, – Kazakh President press-service reports.
Earlier Roscosmos representative Igor Burenkov said that the Agency had approved Aimbtov who already started training for the flight.
“Kazakh President was reported about Aimbetov’s preparation for the flight. In his turn the cosmonauts said about successful examination”.
Roscosmos has chose Aimbetov to go to the ISS instead of British singer Sarah Brightman who was going to fly to the station as a space tourist but refused the flight for family reasons. Aimbetov could have gone to the Station in2009 but thet time Kazakhstan postponed participation in this project due to financing reduction.
Soyuz TMA-18M will be launched from Baikonur on September 1. Apart from Aimbetov the crew comprises Roscosmos cosmonaut Sergey Volkov and ESA astronaut Andreas Mogensen.
