American astronauts Scott Kelly and Kjell Lindgren are going to perform 6-hours spacewalk to conduct necessary works on ISS outer surface.

According to the schedule approved NASA astronauts will leave the station at 15 .10, Moscow time, and  will be working in the open space for 6,5 hours. During the spacewalk the astronauts have to complete ISS maintenance works. Most important tasks are to install thermal cover on magnetic alpha-ray spectrometer (installed on the ISS in 2011), to  run he cable for future docking node and accomplish maintenance works on Canadarm-2 manipulator.

For both astronauts this spacewalk will be the 1st one. Japanese astronaut Kimiya Yui will help themfrom the station.

The program also stipulates that the astronauts will go on working in the open space on November 6.

At the present time there are 6 crew members onboard the station: Russian cosmonauts Sergey Volkov, Mikhail Korniyenko and Oleg Kononenko, American astronauts Scott Kelly and Kjell Lindgren and Japanese  astronaut Kimiya Yui.
