At the Baikonur cosmodrome the preparational works for the launch of the “Soyuz MS-14” spacecraft began.

The “Soyuz-2.1a” launch vehicle stages were unloaded from the transportation cars in the Assembly and Testing facility of site № 31.

The launch of the “Soyuz MS-14” spacecraft will take place in an unmanned mode and will become a test for the “Soyuz-2.1a” rocket, because before it put only cargo ships into orbit.

Now “Soyuz-2.1a” replaces the “Soyuz-FG” rocket, which has been delivering space crews into orbit since 2002.

Launch is scheduled for August 22, 2019.
