On August 16, 2019, the main crew of the ISS-61/62 passed the exam for manual control of the approach of the “Soyuz – MS” spacecraft to the International Space Station on the “Don – Soyuz” simulator.

Crew commander Oleg Skrypochka worked in the descent vehicle, and flight engineer Jessica Meir was in the living compartment during the exam.

During the examination training, the crew performed four modes, having fully performed rapprochement with all the docking points, available on the Russian segment of the ISS.

Also during the exam the crew recognized problems, that were reported to the Earth, and promptly switched to manual control, which allowed the flight program to be completed.

The examination committee evaluated the work of the crew Oleg Skrypochka – Jessica Meir “excellent”, noting the high level of knowledge and skills, as well as the joint work of the crew and the instructors team.

The launch of the “Soyuz-FG” launch vehicle with the “Soyuz MS-15” spacecraft is scheduled for September 25, 2019.
