On Wednesday, May 30, the cosmonaut, twice Hero of the Soviet Union Alexey Leonov celebrates his birthday.

President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the birthday.

The head of state in the congratulatory telegram, which has already been published on the Kremlin’s official website, noted that Leonov is known not only in Russia, but also far beyond the borders of the country.

A huge number of people respect the cosmonaut, who is a brilliant professional, courageous man, who first stepped into open space.

Putin called Alexey Leonov, who turned 84 years old, an extraordinary and talented person and wished him well-being and health.
