At the technical complex of the Baikonur cosmodrome the assembly of the head part was successfully completed.

On September 21, 2019 specialists from the Russian and foreign rocket and space industry, participating in the “Proton-M” launch program in the interests of Eutelsat, have begun the general assembly of a space rocket.

The head part of the Eutelsat-5WB and MEV-1 devices, the transfer system, the Breeze-M upper stage and the head fairing were transported to the final assembly hall of the “Proton-M” launch vehicle.

According to the schedule of the launching campaign, the head part will be assembled with the third stage of the carrier, joint electrical checks, connection of the humidity-thermal regime of the spacecraft, and the installation of a protective thermal cover on the head fairing will be performed.

After completion of the general assembly of the “Proton-M” space rocket, its preparation for transportation to the technological gas station for refueling the Breeze-M upper stage will begin.
