On September 15, 2013 Mission Control Centre specialists successfully adjusted the orbit of the ISS to increase the medium altitude by 900 meters, – Roscosmos spokesman reported to RIA-Novosti.

According to him the orbit was adjusted with the help of thrusters of ATV-4 cargo vehicle docked to the ISS.

“ The thrusters of European cargo vehicle have been operating for 204,22 seconds (about 3,5 minutes); the station got 0,5 m/s velocity increment. As a result of station reboost maneuver the medium altitude was increased by 900 meters and amounted to 415,8 km, – the spokesman stated.

He also reported that the the orbit adjustment was to make easier the upcoming docking of Soyuz TMA-10M space vehicle with new ISS mission crew onboard to the ISS. The crew consists of Roscosmos cosmonauts Oleg Kotov and Sergey Ryazansky and NASA astronaut Michael Hopkins.
