The launch of Express-AMU2 and Express-AMU7 telecommunication satellites initially planned for November shifted to December, – the sources stated.

In June acting Director General of Russian Satellite Communications Company Yuri Prokhorov reported that the launch was planned for November 08.

Now Express-AMU3 and Express-AMU7 launch is shifted to early December, – the source said.

Express-AMU3 and Express-AMU7 are telecommunication satellites produced for Russian Satellite Communications Company by  Reshetnev Information Satellite Systems Company. The satellites will be launched with the help of Proton-M booster and Briz-M upper stage from Baikonur launchsite.

The contracts between Russian Satellite Communications Company, Reshetnev and Italian department of European Thales Alenia Space for satellites development  were concluded in August 2018.

The satellites are to be inserted into geostationary orbit (circular orbit with altitude of 36 000 kilometers) at the positions 103 and 145 degrees east longitude respectively.  The satellites are designated to provide high-quality telecommunication and broadcasting services for Russia and other countries.

Currently 12 telecommunication satellites of Express series are working on the orbit; 14 more satellites are expected to join them by the end of the decade.
