Soyuz 2.1b booster with Progress M-UM cargo vehicle specially modernized to deliver Prichal nodal module to the ISS was successfully launched from Baikonur.

In a few minutes the booster has inserted the vehicle and module into the orbit. In two days Prichal will dock to the ISS.

On Thursday, November 25, while Progress will be on the way to the ISS, Progress MS-17 vehicle will undock from Nauka laboratory module uninstalling passive docking device adapter to give space for Prichal.

Having delivered new module Progress M-UM will stay in space for almost a month. Its undocking and deorbiting are planned for December 22.

Apart from Prichal the cargo vehicle will deliver to the ISS about 700 kilograms of various cargoes including life-limited equipment, wear parts, water purification devices, medical control tools and foodstuff for mission crew members.
