Russia suggested Brazil cooperation in space development, particularly in the field of joint satellite design and development of space program for Brazil partners, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu reported  journalists on Saturday.

“ In this case we are talking about the design of joint satellites and Brazil space program development. We’ve agreed upon forming working group of professionals and experts to develop specific suggestions in this field of cooperation,” – Shoygu told summing up the results of his visit to Peru and Brazil.

Russian Ministry of Defense Head also specified that cooperation concerns such fields as Earth sensing and communication.

“Space topic is very important, nowadays it becomes more and more significant both for safety and economy of every country, – Shoygu pointed out.
