The next spacewalk of Russian cosmonauts from the International Space Station is scheduled for the end of 2020.

An echelon with a new module of the Russian segment of the International Space Station was sent on the night of August 11, 2020 from the Rocket and Space Plant of the G. M.V. Khrunichev (part of the State Corporation "Roscosmos") at the Baikonur cosmodrome. Experts of the Khrunichev Center with a positive result completed the full cycle of pneumatic tests of the "Science" module.

Dmitry Rogozin, the general director of Roscosmos, considers it is necessary to carry out launches of automatic spacecraft to the moon annually in order to work out soft landing technologies before sending a manned expedition.

The unified state program of space activities of Russia for the period 2021-2030 will be submitted for approval by the government by the end of this year, told Dmitry Rogozin, CEO of Roscosmos.

The food rations for the Russian cosmonauts who will go to the moon will consist of canned food and products requiring dilution with hot water, dried fruits, confectionery and juices, said Viktor Dobrovolsky, chief designer for providing food for space crews at the Research Institute of Food Concentration Industry and Special Food Technology.

On July 31, 2020 at 00:25:19 Moscow time, the Proton-M carrier rocket with the Briz-M upper stage and the Russian telecommunications spacecraft Express-103 was launched from the launcher No. 39 of the launch pad No. 200 of the Baikonur cosmodrome and "Express-80", manufactured in the company "Information Satellite Systems" named after Academician MF Reshetnev "(part of the State Corporation" Roscosmos ").

In the Hydrolaboratory of the Cosmonaut Training Center, work continues on preliminary tests of the systems of the test-training complex with the implementation of the tasks of the upcoming spacewalks. The work within the framework of the tests is performed by the test-training team of the hydro laboratory.

By order of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Center for the Operation of Ground-Based Space Infrastructure Facilities (TsENKI, part of the Roscosmos State Corporation) was appointed the general contractor and the sole contractor for the construction of nine facilities of the first stage of the Vostochny cosmodrome. As part of this work, the construction of seven residential buildings in the Zvezdny microdistrict in the city of Tsiolkovsky will be completed, the Complex for the storage of rocket fuel components, the Complex for the operation of the fall areas, the Complex for the processing of construction and solid domestic waste will be completed, in addition, the construction of the Industrial construction and operational bases will be completed No. 1 and No. 2, meteorological complex, roads and railways. In order to form ballistic conditions before the launch of the Soyuz MS-17 manned transport vehicle, the orbit of the International Space Station is scheduled to be corrected on July 29, 2020.
