Russian space industry specialists go on with preparations for the launch of Proton-M booster with Briz-M upper stage and cluster comprising two Russian telecommunication satellites Express-AT1 and Express-AT2.

Space nose cone assembling is under way: on March 2 Express-AT2 space device was transported from its working place in finishing room to the place of head assembling, after that it was installed on Briz-M upper stage. Besides Reshetnev Information Satellite Systems JSC, Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center, and Yuzhny Space Centre successfully mounted all electrical connectors between space device and upper stage and conducted electrical chain tests.

On March 3 the works on head were continued. The specialist docked Express-AT1 with assembled construction of Express-AT1 and Briz-M.

Upon assembling completion the head consisting of Briz-M upper stage and Expess-AT1 and Express-AT2 under the nose fairing will be docked with Proton-M booster.

The launch of Proton-M booster with Briz-M upper stage and two telecommunication space devices of Express series is scheduled for March 16, Roscosmos and Yuzhny Space Centre press offices report.
