According to the training scenario, the release of ammonia occurred instantly, and the toxic substance spread throughout the station. It proved impossible to clear the atmosphere. The crew members had to urgently leave the station, for which they moved to the simulator room of the Soyuz spacecraft. Wearing emergency masks, they put on spacesuits, took their places in the spacecraft, and launched an undocking procedure.
