Joint scientific projects in the field of space exploration can become a perspective  direction of Russia and EU scientists’ cooperation, – Russian Academy of Science President Vladimir Fortunov states.

Speaking at Russia-EU “Year of Science” official opening ceremony Fortov noted that though scientific and technical cooperation between Russian and EU scientists is being developed successfully there are several directions in it, which require improvement, e.g. the field of space explorations”.

“ We can see that many joint space project may be successfully put into practice only in cooperation with European partners. We are preparing the list of such programs”, – Fortov said.

Speaking about National Science Academy system reform Fortov pointed out that in the framework of this reform we will use the long-year scientific experience of EU countries”.
