Today, on December 11, 2019, at 11:54 (Moscow time) the “Soyuz-2.1b” launch vehicle with the “Fregat” upper stage and the “Glonass-M” navigation satellite successfully launched from the launch pad of the Plesetsk cosmodrome.

Separation of the satellite from the upper stage took place normally after three starts of the marching engine system of the upper stage “Fregat.

“Glonass-M” satellites forms the basis of the orbital group of the GLONASS system.

They provide navigation information and time signals to land, sea, air and space users.

This launch became the 80th for the “Fregat” upper stage.
