At the Baikonur Cosmodrome, specialists from Roscosmos enterprises performed a general assembly of the Proton-M” space rocket.

Last weekend, the head part, consisting of the upper stage “DM-03” and the “Spectrum-RG” spacecraft, was transported from the assembly “clean” room to the Assembly hall of the launch vehicles.

After the transportation was completed, the carrier and head part were mechanically assembled.

The specialists of the rocket and space industry made the connection of the electrical contacts between the head part and the launch vechile and performed all necessary checks.

On June 13, at the cosmodrome, a meeting of the State Commission will be held, where the results of the preparations for the launch will be summed up and a decision will be made to perform roll-out.

Roll – out of the launch vehicle to the launch pad № 81 is scheduled for the morning of June 14th.

The launch of the “Proton-M” launch vehicle with the “DM-03” upper stage and the new “Spectrum-RG” orbital observatory is scheduled for June 21 at 15:17 (Moscow time).

Its main mission is to study the Universe in the X-ray range of electromagnetic radiation, to create a “map” of the visible Universe, on which all large clusters of galaxies will be marked.
