Prelaunch processing of the cargo transportation spacecraft Progress MS-20 continues in the integration and test facility of Site 254 of the Baikonur Cosmodrome. Today, at the processing facility the spacecraft was transported to the vacuum chamber for leak tests.

During the last week specialists from RSC Energia and core enterprises of Roscosmos performed a sequence of integrated tests to check the spacecraft onboard systems readiness for injection operations and docking to the International Space Station. Upon completion of the scheduled operations Progress MS-20 was delivered to hall 103 and accommodated on cradles of vacuum chamber 17Т523МР. The upcoming six-day pneumatic and vacuum test cycle using a helium-air medium in volumes under test will be carried out for objective ground leak check of the spacecraft.

The launch of the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle carrying Progress MS-20 under the program of the 81st re-supply mission to the ISS is scheduled for June 2022 from the Baikonur launch site.
