Flight tests of the first Russian Angara Space Rocket complex started at Russian Ministry of Defence State test spaceport  Plesetsk situated in Arkhangelsk region.

The decision to start flight tests was taken by State Commission meeting held on June 20 at the headquarters of Aerodefence troops.

In the course of the meeting State Commission members considered the results of Angara-1.2PP booster preparation and ground facilities readiness for the tests and determined the date of Angara booster’s roll-out to the launchpad of Plesetsk spaceport.

At the present time  spaceport specialists started conducting final operations in the framework of the flight tests to prepare Angara-1.2 PP booster  for the transportation  to the launching pad. Operational crews  control the temperature, air condition and pressure and prepare launchpad equipment for future electric and pneumatic tests and Angara booster filling with propellant components.

Angara booster roll-out to the launching pad is planned for June 25, 2014. Final decision on roll-out is to be taken by State Commission meeting at Plesetsk spaceport scheduled for  June 24.

According to representative of  Russian Ministry of Defenсe press-office management on Aerospace Defenсe troops Alexey Zolotukhin Angara-1.2PP light booster first launch from Plesetsk spaceport is planned for June 27, 2014.
