The cosmonauts passed the training on Soyuz TMA-M spacecraft manual docking with the ISS on Don-Soyuz simulator. The main crew was the first to pass the training. After report about readiness for the operation by Alexander Samokutyayev, the crew got the cards with the tasks set and off-nominal situations to be included in the training.

After the main crew back-up crew comprising Gennady Padalka, Mikhail Korniyenko and Scott Kelly also passed the same training.

According to Examination Commission both crews showed high standard of knowledge and professionalism. Both crews got excellent marks.

This week main and back-up crews are to pass one more examinational training so called ”Standard flight day”, on September 3 and 4 ISS-41/42 will start complex training summing up the results of their preparations in Star City.

ISS-41/42 mission main crew comprises Roscosmos cosmonauts Alexander Samokutyayev and Elena Serova and NASA astronaut Barry Wilmore, the back-up crew is made up of Roscosmos cosmonauts Gennady Padalka and Mikhail kprniyenko and NASA astronaut Scott Kelly. The launch of Soyuz TMA-14M spacecraft with ISS-41/42 mission crew onboard from Baikonur spaceport is scheduled for September 26.
