Russian space industry specialists go on with preparations for the launch of Proton-M booster with Briz-M upper stage and cluster comprising two Russian telecommunication satellites Express-AT1 and Express-AT2.

The mock-up of the Angara, built by the Khrunichev aerospace research and production center, will be used to test ground support systems ahead of the maiden launch of the vehicle scheduled for later this year.

Space device separated from Briz-M upper stage at 10.22 Moscow time. It was the first time Proton-M booster is used to orbit the satellite of Turkish operator Turksat Satellite Communication.

Preparations for the first Proton mission of this year proceed as scheduled. A Proton is to orbit the 5000-kg Turkish TurkSat 4A satellite by mid-February. Proton M/Breeze M/TurkSat 4A integrated launch vehicle (ILV) was rolled out of the Processing Facility to the Launch Complex earlier this morning.

The satellite was made on the order of Turkish Turksat Satellite Communication, Cable TV and Operation A.S. satellite communication operator. The satellite will be launched with the help of Proton-M booster and Briz-M upper stage in February.

According to ILS press-office 6-tons device Intelsat-31 (Intelsat DLA-2)will be launched first in 2015 , it has to provide TV broadcasting for Latin America. Now the satellite is being designed by SSL company.

The preparation works for Proton-M booster launch with Briz-M upper stage and Express-AM5 space device are under way at Baikonur spaceport.

Following the decision of State comission, on December 5 Proton-M launch vehicle with Briz-M upper stage and Inmarsat 5F-1 communication satellite was rolled to and installed on the launch pad of Baikonur spaceport's site 200.
