It was on this day in 2010 that the Order was signed to establish a branch of the then FSUE Center for the Operation of Ground Space Infrastructure Objects - the Vostochny Space Center.

By order of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Center for the Operation of Ground-Based Space Infrastructure Facilities (TsENKI, part of the Roscosmos State Corporation) was appointed the general contractor and the sole contractor for the construction of nine facilities of the first stage of the Vostochny cosmodrome. As part of this work, the construction of seven residential buildings in the Zvezdny microdistrict in the city of Tsiolkovsky will be completed, the Complex for the storage of rocket fuel components, the Complex for the operation of the fall areas, the Complex for the processing of construction and solid domestic waste will be completed, in addition, the construction of the Industrial construction and operational bases will be completed No. 1 and No. 2, meteorological complex, roads and railways.
